Born in Managua, Nicaragua on July 18, 1953 to parents Blanca H. Amador and Abel S. Medina, Sonia came to the United States to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. Sonia devoted herself to God by attending church regularly and reading her Bible and other books. She was a beautiful woman inside and out.
Left to mourn her loss is her daughter Karen Cuadra, brother Rev. Mr. Carlos Medina and wife Martha; grandchildren Josue and Oseas Guzman and Keren Cuadra; nephews Carlos Medina, Jr, his son John Medina, Luis Medina (Wendi), their daughter Maya Medina, Norberto (Linda) Medina and their children Venaly and Christian Medina.
The family will greet friends on Friday, January 7 2022 at 11am at McEwen Funeral Service located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte with an evangelical service following at 12 noon. Burial immediately following at Sharon Memorial Park.
