Steve was born August 4, 1952 in Charlotte. He was the son of the late William Edsel Hall and Mildred Britton Hall.
Steve was a Managing Partner of Superior Courier & Logistics in Charlotte.
He had a life long love of dogs and spoiled his own with no hesitation. He loved Notre Dame football, travelling, deep sea fishing, was a big history buff, and loved hosting Christmas Eve celebrations with his family.
One of Steve's great passions was being involved in Civil War Reenactment. He spent years participating in and leading fellow reenactors with the 30th NC and as Lt. Col. Division Provost Marshall of the 1st Division Army of Northern Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Heine Hall; two children, Vickie Hughes (Kevin) of Charlotte, Andy Hall (Jennifer) of Stanfield, NC; and two beloved grandsons, Colin Hall and Evan Hall; as well as his sister, Scottie Ann McGarity of Monroe, NC, nephew, Tom McGarity, nephew, Brandon McGarity and niece, Shannon McGarity.
A memorial service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Good Shepherd Church, Zoar Campus, 13611 Zoar Road, Charlotte, NC 28278.
A separate service hosted by the Civil War Reenactment 1st Division Army of Northern Virginia to honor Steve will be held at a future date to be announced in the coming days.
