Steven Hecht

Charlotte - Steven Michael Hecht, 59, of Charlotte and Concord, passed away peacefully Friday, February 12th 2016 in Kannapolis, NC. He was born June, 22, 1956 in Manhattan, New York to Jacob and Eva Hecht. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Roberta Hecht of Concord, NC; sons, Matthew Hecht (Holly) of Concord, NC and Mitchell Hecht of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Madelyn and Hannah Dean Hecht of Concord; mother, Eva Hecht of Charlotte; siblings, Lou Hecht of Boca Raton, FL, Susan Jacobsohn (Bruce) of Atlanta, GA and Allen Hecht (Sandra) of Charlotte. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Hecht, Port St. Lucie, FL.

Steven had a passion for photography, being a private pilot and travelling with his wife. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and a man who put his family above all else.

Services for Steven will be held at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte, on Sunday, February 14. The immediate family will be receiving guests from 1:00 – 1:45 pm, followed by the service at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Hebrew Cemetery, Charlotte.
