Steven Alan Howell, age 59 of the Oakdale Community passed away August 1, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. He was the son of Esther Howell and the late Oscar Howell. A service to celebrate his life will be at 11:00AM Saturday in the Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, Reverend Mike Pittman officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:30PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Candy Howell, one son, Nick Howell and wife, Wendy, brothers Bill Howell, Phil Howell and wife, Pam and one sister, Pam Howell and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Bernie Howell.
Steve was an electrician for 15 years before becoming a Charlotte Firefighter. After 18 years of service with the CFD, he retired in 2006. He loved golfing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Steve was a loving husband and dad.
