I just heard of Steve's passing and I am truly sorry for your loss.  I was a friend of the Tate family back in high school and we always had such fun.  I have lost touch with the family and have not been in contact for many many years.  From the beautiful comments I have read, I wish I would have known Steve in his adult life because I can see he was a very special person who touched many lives.  I feel blessed for having known him.  Heaven has truly welcomed another angel.

I remember the day I met you and Steve together when I gave you the plant tour of the Unifirst facility in Charlotte, NC. Steve always spoke so highly of his wonderful wife. He used to hand out business cards at work for his daugther, for the salon. The day he passed I had the opportunity to sit and talk with him for almost an hour here at work about the wonderful opportunity he had just excepted. He was a very talented sales person and made me laugh to no end at work. I was blessed to have met him and will always remember his great character and persiverance to be better. What a special man he is. You were a very supportive wife and he new it and for that I know he would say Thank you. He always used to say "see you later" never "goodbye".  Steve, We will see you later and until then, you will not be forgotten. God Bless you and the girls.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Steve.  It has been a long time since the days at Highland Park.  My thoughts and prayers are with Steve's family and Ike.

I am shocked to see Steve's name in the obituaries.  When I look at his family and friends comments, I see a great reflection of the grand life he lived and loved.  I think of you often and what an important part you played in getting our hospital dental clinic started.  Your "witness" and passion for Christ was responsible for several of our cancer patients salvation. I know you know their names and  I am sure they welcomed Steve  into the Kingdom.
 I also remember when you and Steve first meet.  From the start I knew he was the right guy for you.  After all he was a "Magician".

The Schmidt's, Tate's and Milligan's were expected to be in the Winner Circle Of Excellence each year. It was expected and realized annually! Steven was my laughing buddy.  He was one of the funniest story tellers I have ever met.  We would get together at the Schmidt's house and laugh for hours.
