Sue C. Cline

Sue Chance Cline, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Born in Charlotte, NC on July 26, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John Raymond and Mildred Chance. Before moving to Myrtle Beach, she had been employed in the corporate offices of ESSO, which later became Exxon Corp., here in Charlotte. During her years in Myrtle Beach she was an office manager for several construction companies. She was a member and held every office for NAWIC where she successfully organized and operated numerous golf tournaments to support the foundations charitable scholarships.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert David Cline; and siblings, Billy Ray Chance and Elaine C. Flanagan.

Survivors include 2 sons, Ronnie Matthews (Andrea) and Tony Matthews (Debbie); 2 grandchildren, Jake and Jade Matthews; and 5 siblings, Ray Chance, Rodney Chance, Don Chance, Kathy Story and Gail Hansen.

Services are planned for 4:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at McEwen Funeral Service, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC. Friends may visit one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
