Susan Elaine Brophy

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Susan Elaine Brophy on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She was eighty years old. Susan was a devoted wife, mother and nurse, who gave more to others than she ever did herself. She was an avid book reader, and traveled the world through her books. What she was most proud of and what brought her the most joy in life were her children. She is survived by her husband, Richard Brophy; her children, Christine Wissell, Douglas (Anne) Brophy, Jill (William) Gallagher, and David (Tirza) Brophy; her grandchildren, Joel and Lea Wissell, Sean, Kyle (Kayla), and Tara Brophy, Cole and Camryn Gallaher, and Bjorn and Aksel Brophy. Funeral service will be held graveside on Sunday, January 22nd at 2:00 PM at the Hebrew Cemetery In Charlotte, NC. Cemetery Location - 1801 Statesville Avenue - Charlotte, NC 28206 No flowers please.
