

Born and raised in Charlotte, Susan attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. Throughout her career, she held a variety of positions centered on working with people, which was her passion. Whether in professional, social, or community settings, Susan formed lasting and meaningful relationships. In later years, she devoted herself to caring for her parents, a role she embraced with deep love and commitment.
Susan is survived by her brother, James Rosser, and sister-in-law, Nicki Watts, of McLean, VA; her niece, Caitlin Rosser, her husband, Joe Madden, and their children, Paige Hottenstein, Lindsay Madden, JT Madden, and Bridget Madden, of Wake Forest, NC; and her niece, Lauren Rosser and her husband, Steve Alleva, of Vienna, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Rosser, and her sister, Anna Upchurch.
Susan’s ashes will be interred at Sharon Memorial Park in accordance with her wishes. At her request, no graveside service will be held. A remembrance gathering will take place in the Charlotte area at a later date.
