Susanne Marie Sweda Westphal

The visitation service will be held on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 from noon to 1pm with the funeral service to follow from 1pm to 2pm. Both services will be at McEwen Funeral Home – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road in Charlotte..

Susanne (Sue) was born in Connellsville, PA on January 9th, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband William Carl Westphal, her parents and 12 siblings. Sue loved to plant flowers and enjoyed working in the garden as time, weather and age permitted. She was an avid cook and made exceptional sugar cookies and mashed potatoes during the Christmas holidays. Being born on a farm started her love of all types of animals which resulted in there never being a shortage of them around the house. Later in life, she was very active in her church’s senior group and loved to socialize and plan fun events. Her family was integral to her world and she always made sure they knew they were loved.

Survivors are her daughter, Kimberly W. Olson (Gary), her son, Marc W. Westphal (Tina), and her three granddaughters MacKayla Olson, Aleah Olson and Renna Olson.
