Tamzan "Tami" Jeannine Bernstein

Charlotte - Tamzan Jeannine Sterbenz Bernstein passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Tinker and Herman Sterbenz; her step-mother, Marie Sterbenz; and a sister, Linda McCarley. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Gerald Bernstein; two sons, Phillip John Bernstein (Gail) and Kenneth Todd Bernstein; and two grandsons, Eric Daniel Bernstein and Alex Matthew Bernstein.

Tami was born September 27, 1943 in Waukegan, Illinois. She graduated from Coral Gables High School in Coral Gables, Florida.

Tami will always be remembered as a strong woman who always took care of her family. Her favorite moments were spent visiting with family and friends. She especially loved trips to the beach and boat outings in Panama City Beach to visit her dolphins.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th at Harry & Bryant, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte.
