

A private committal service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013, followed by a memorial service at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 101 Colville Road. There will be a reception following the service in Beard Hall.
Teresa was a devoted wife and mother of James (Jim) Morrison, Karen Elizabeth and Tracey Lynne. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Karen.
Mrs. Morrison was born May 14, 1934, the youngest daughter of James Dwyer of Albany New York and Jennie Parker of Richfield, NC. Teresa was raised on North Cannon Blvd. in Kannapolis, NC. She has one sister, Doris. She was very talented and loved creating, decorating, cooking and enjoyed candle light dinners. She was a devoted Christian and shared her gracious gifts with her church, Westminster Presbyterian.
Teresa was a manager for Welcome Wagon International from 1973 until 1998, and was selected as one of the top Field Managers in the United States in 1978, 1986 and 1988, with award dinners in Key West, Aruba and New Orleans. After her job with Welcome Wagon, she and her husband Jim were Travel Consultants for Cruise Holidays in Charlotte and were involved with the concert program for the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra for 3 years. She and her husband were gracious quest hosts for the visiting artists that came to Charlotte for the concerts.
The family would like to express their thanks to the caring and giving staff of Hospice who were faithful in their care to the very end.
