Terry Atkinson Ellis

Terry graduated from Kings Mountain High School, class of '74, while her father was acting principal. Following graduation from high school, she attended Western Carolina University.

Terry was married April 23, 1988 to Pete Ellis. Terry thrived working in accounting; having worked for various local companies throughout her career.

Terry's incredible ability to care for her family made her a loving mother, devoted wife, trusting sister, and a caring daughter. Her independent nature always pushed Terry to try her best at everything. Always active, Terry enjoyed a healthy lifestyle, working out to stay in shape; always striving to better herself in her career, and throughout life.

In the most recent years of her life, Terry's favorite activities included riding her motorcycle, snow skiing, reading, and spending every available weekend at the family lake house. Terry was also a terrific gardener, always spending time tending to the plants at their houses. She loved the beauty that flowers and plants brought to everything around her.

Terry is survived by her husband, Pete; son, Andrew; mother, Mary Atkinson; and sisters, Sandy Pettyjohn and Kathy Allred.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16th in the Chapel of Harry and Bryant, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
