Mr. Thomas E. Pruyne

Mr. Pruyne, 72, of Charlotte passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at his residence.

He was born April 26, 1938 in Sayre, Pennsylvania the son of the late Harry L. Pruyne and Julia Malloy Pruyne. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years Eileen G. Pruyne.

Thomas loved to bowl and was involved with the senior bowling league every Tuesday morning. He was an avid coin collector, salt and pepper shaker collector and enjoyed spending time gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his sons, Randy Pruyne (Tracie) of Charlotte, NC and David Pruyne of Elgin, SC; granddaughters, Megan Pruyne of Morganton, NC and Nicole Pruyne of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Robert Pruyne (Joyce) of Athens Township, PA; and sisters, Doris Talada (Bill) of Athens Township, PA and Nancy Bradley (Gerry) of Orangehill, PA.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at York Memorial Cemetery, 5150 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28217.
