To the Sladden Family,

I worked beside Thomas in the Information Security area of Wachovia/Wells Fargo. While I did not work with him directly on projects, I used to chat with him occasionally in the office hallways at CIC. Thomas was always a great guy to talk to; someone who was down to earth, caring and had a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss those hallway conversations. 
I am so sorry for your loss. I can not imagine the pain of dealing with something as unexpected as this. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Ok, so I have waited to write something because where do I begin?  God is in infinite mercy has prepared TJ and Kristy for this unexpected time.  Truly this is the peace of God that passes all understanding.  The Holy Spirit has faithfully drawn you both to Him.  The events over the past two years were not coincidental.   In the sorrow and grief, in the remembrances of "husband's" life, we have the assurance of his eternal life in Christ.  I give thanks to God for the opportunity to know Thomas, even though it seems cut too short.  I rejoice in the times I did have to share in his journey and with Kristy.  Now Kristy, our journey forever will be different.  You, my sister, will glorify God and we will walk by faith.  Your precious children, Emma and Ethan will grow up knowing their Daddy and He will always be in their hearts.  Meredith and Owen will be a part of our family, as you are. Kristy we are so sorry for the loss of Thomas. He was a very loving and supporting husband,father and son-in-law. We will miss his witt and humor. He will always be in our hearts through Emma and Ethan. May God take you into his arms and hold you tight. He has a plan,trust Him.

I have known Thomas since junior high, and although we haven't been in touch much in recent years, I have always considered him a friend.  He was quick-witted and caring...a great friend when you needed him.  Through high school and college, our group had some good times. We caught up about two years ago, and he told me how happy he was with life. I am so glad he found that happiness and I hope his wife and children can take comfort in that.  I offer my deepest sympathy to the whole family.  Thomas was a very special person and will never be forgotten.

Kristy - You and Thomas were an inspiration to me & Chris as we started our family, and I know Chris enjoyed the time he spent working with Thomas. He was so smart and no-nonsense, and it was easy to see how much he loved his family. I am terribly sorry for this loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Kristi & Thom, we can't begin to grasp what you and your family are going through right now.  To simply say "we're sorry" rings hollow when it comes to TJ's passing and the unimaginable sadness and heartache you've all incurred.  Know that you are all in our prayers as God gently reveals His plan for you as this transition in your lives unfolds....

Kristy, Emma and Ethan - I'm so sorry for your loss. We loved Thomas, he was always like a mediater between us! I can picture him now with that crooked mouth move and his eyes rolling! Thomas loved you and you should never doubt that. We love you too and I will never let you forget it. :)

Jenn, I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember riding the school bus from NOGA to drop you and Thomas off at Vinton Woods. It seems like such a long time ago that we were all trying to figure out our lives. 

My heart goes out to your parents and the rest of your family.  I know he will be missed.

My earliest memories of Thomas were of when we worked together at Interstate/Johnson Lane back in the late 90's and early 2000's.  Here was a guy who was working in the Mainframe room, riding a motorcycle to work with a bunch of tatoos and either pink or purple hair.  I always remember Thomas being inquisitive and asking a lot of questions.  Although, Thomas didn't fit the typical stuffy pressed shirt banker mold of the financial world he was a good guy, very intelligent, hard working, loving father and likeable person that will be deeply missed.

For the short time I worked with Thomas I always appreciated his free spirit and informal attitude towards his career and challenges. He was always the first one to thank someone and offer help when needed. Thank you Thomas! I offer my heart and my deepest sympathies for you and your family.
