TJ - you are missed.

We know you were very proud of your brother, Rog. So sorry he passed away too young. Thinking of you and the whole family, Leigh and Bill.

I had the privilege of working side by side with TJ in PMA-231 for a year and a half. During that time, he must have said a thousand times I'm just a midwest farm boy! I am in awe of what this midwest farm boy accomplished in his life and career, working his way up from E-3 to O-6, regularly accomplishing things that others said couldn't be done; and remaining mindful of future challenges even while turning the crank on daily tasks (I can feel it coming! was another of his frequent sayings). His work ethic was eye-watering as was his attention to team morale. But more important than all of that was God and his family. TJ kept a bible on his desk at work, and spoke lovingly of Pat, Cady, Jennah and Jasen. He was most proud of all of you. I am saddened by TJ's passing. By our terms he was taken from us too soon, but perhaps God saw that TJ's work was done here on earth, and so called him to his heavenly reward. TJ used to say he would be just as happy driving a tractor or fishing. So that's how I picture him now, smiling and fishing in a creek somewhere. God Bless TJ, his family and all of us.

Greg and I are saddened to learn of Tim's passing.  We pray for Pat and the family to find peace and solace in knowing that they can be proud of their wonderful husband and father.  There will always be a hole in your hearts from the pain of missing him, and the healing may be slow, but know that many of the people whose lives Tim touched are holding you close and praying for you all.  I will pass the news on to Dana and Neil; we have such fond memories of good family times in Oak Harbor together.  Greg has much respect for Tim and always appreciated his professionalism and strong airmanship in the cockpit with him.  Blessings of love and healing from the Bushongs to all of you in the special Block family.

I am so very sad to know Tim is gone now.  My brother Mike married Tim's daughter, Jennah.  I've referred to Tim as my 'father in law-law' when describing him.  
Tim was always very caring and supportive to my brother,  sister and I after the passing of our own father years ago.  I like to think he became a father figure to all of us in the time since too.   He and my father were very much alike. 
Tim and I shared duties as Godparents to little Shelby and I will be forever grateful to him for his encouragement and calming presence.  
I will always remember Tim's generous spirit and his unwavering strength.   We have all lost such a kind soul, he will be forever missed.   Rest easy Tim.

CAPT Block was an inspirational leader.  I had the privilege of serving with him at Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific in Bangor, WA.  He is truly missed.  My deepest sympathies to his family.

I pray God's comfort and peace for the Block Family.  Capt. Block is experiencing joy unspeakable in heaven!  Blessings to you all!

TJ was a great American.  I was privileged to work with him in both the A-6 and E-2 communities.  Cruised with him on several occasions and last spoke with him at NAVAIR at his retirement.  I will miss him, our thoughts and prayers with his wife and family.

TJ was the most rock solid naval flight officer I've had the privilege of working with.  He treasured his early days as an A-6 Intruder B/N and we often swapped sea stories from our various squadron JO days.  He was my go-to guy to represent CVW-17 and IKE battle group ashore when I was CAG Ops and he was an E-2 Dept Head.  I am devastated by his passing and send my deepest condolences to his family.

Captain T.J. Block was a fearless leader, an accomplished warrior trained in multiple disciplines, and a manager of enormous and complex projects.  He was also a gentleman, loyal friend and committed teammate.  For TJ, hard work was the normal fare, and impossible tasks were a mere inconvenience.  He demanded much from his teams, his peers and his seniors, but he reserved the highest expectations and demands for himself.  In a challenging task or risky endeavor, TJ could always be found personally leading at the point of greatest intensity.  Although supremely serious and relentless in the performance of his duties, his fine sense of humor, intellectual curiosity and spirituality marked him as being the complete man.  His friendship at sea and ashore in multiple commands was a source of strength.  I will miss you my friend.

A great example and a great American, I was privileged to work for TJ at NAVAIR.  His work ethic and his core values were of the highest caliber.  May God Bless his family at this difficult time.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with TJ at Telephonics Corp. We have lost an American hero and I have lost a friend.  My deepest sympathy goes out to TJ's family and friends.

I knew CAPT TJ Block while working at AIR4.0P, where he was the senior military director. TJ was an outstanding  Naval Officer, a truly nice man and an absolute pleasure to work for. He will be greatly missed. All the best to his family.

Timothy worked for me when he was  2nd class petty officer SWFPAC. I knew than he would move on to do great things. He than came back to SWFPAC as their Commanding officer. Which made me proud to think I might have some part of that success. Ralph Rogers USN Retired

I am very saddened to hear of his passing.  I have many fond memories of him from the days he was the Commanding Officer at SWFPAC.  He was one of the finest and nicest people you could ever meet.  I am thankful for the privilege of knowing him.  May the Lord comfort his family during this time of loss.

I've never met CAPT Block before, but I am thankful for his and his family's service to our country.  I am deeply sorry for your loss.  My prayers go out to the family.
