Tommy attended Clarenceville High School in Michigan where he ran track and played basketball. He spent seven years in the US Air Force stationed in California, Japan and Maryland.
He spent most of his career as a property insurance adjuster in Michigan where he owned National Adjusting Company followed by Insurance Claim Service.
Tommy enjoyed technology, reading, gardening, and traveling by boat and RV. He regularly attended church services during his lifetime most recently at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a member of MENSA, Free Masons, Shriners and Stephens Ministry.
He is survived by Diane, his wife of 38 years; children Terri, Susan and Jerry and grandchildren Sage, Spencer, Adi, Kelly, Wylder and Priya.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father Thomas Franklin Wilkerson, mother May Nell Nance and brother Gerald Crawford Wilkerson.
