

Tyler Lee Knox was born at Ft. Campbell, KY on June 6, 1994. He was taken from this world suddenly on November 26, 2009. Tyler was a sophomore at Independence High School. In Tyler’s short fifteen years on this earth he touched the lives of many people. There were no strangers to Tyler, just the opportunity to make a new friend. From the time he was little it was obvious that he was special boy. He loved to play chess and read novels. He was a music enthusiast and played the cello, electric guitar and bass guitar. He had played in the school orchestra since 6th grade and aspired to become a professional cellist in a symphony. His beautiful smile, quick wit and compassion for others will be missed greatly. In death Tyler has blessed others with the gift of life through the donation of his organs. He is truly a hero and an angel. He is survived by his sister: Zoey Knox. His true love: Janie Holliday. His best friend: Marcus Griffith. His parents: April Workman (Roger Workman), Rodney Knox (Sonja Knox), his sister, Sewiya Knox. His grandparents: Margaret Moody, Roger Moody, Elizabeth Knox and Howard Knox. Aunts: Rose-Ann Barca and Sabrina Greene. Uncles: Antoine Knox, Brookes Knox, Demarco Lee, Rico Lee, and Sam Greene. Great-grandmother: Evelina Knox. His cats: Sidney The SuperCat Streno and Mr. Smokey Whiskers.The funeral service will be held 1:00p.m., Thursday, December 3 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Road. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
