Valerie Michelle O'Brien

Born in Franklin, Indiana on September 4, 1969, she was a daughter of Stephen Lawrence and Nancy Ann Lawlis Schlehuser. She lived in in New Jersey until moving to Charlotte in 1990.

Valerie was a 1987 graduate of Highstown High School and had worked as a customer service manager for a welding shop supply company. She was a member of University City United Methodist Church and the International Ladies Bible Study.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Kevin O’Brien, whom she married November 24, 1990; three daughters, Victoria, Sara and Catharine; a son, Richard; two sisters, Shari Beams of Corpus Christi, TX and Lisa Duffy and her husband, Mitchell of Belle Meade, NJ; and two nephews, Liam and Harry.

Memorial services are planned for 11:00 am Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at University City United Methodist Church, 3835 WT Harris Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28269.
