

A native of Floyd, Virginia, Mrs. Foushee was born to the late Dayton Lafayette Lancaster and Rowena Smith Lancaster on October 28, 1920. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and the Charles Livingston Sunday School Class. Mrs. Foushee was a long time member of the Darby Acres Garden Club and won numerous awards for her floral arrangements. She was a seamstress and quilt maker and sewed many items for the Shriners. Mrs. Foushee loved to travel with her husband and always looked forward to the annual Seabees reunion. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil B. Foushee and by a son, Victor A. Foushee.
Mrs. Foushee is survived by her children, Frederic S. Foushee and wife Deborah of Suwanee, GA, Cheryl Foushee Fisher and husband Daniel of Rockingham; sister, Mabel Morgan and husband Ralph of Brewster, WA; daughter-in-law, Debbie R. Foushee of Roswell, GA; grandchildren, Danielle, Lindsey, Brandon and Dawson Foushee and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte with the Rev. Don Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
