Virginia Lee Tilley

Virginia Lee “Jenny” Tilley, 55, of Charlotte NC, passed away November 8, 2024 at Atrium Health- Main surrounded by loved ones after battling a long illness. Jenny was born May 25, 1969 to the late Robert and Geneva Tilley in Princeton, WV.

Jenny enjoyed spending time with family and her beloved pets. She loved the beach, country music, watching crime shows, and had an amazing knack for DIY projects. She will be remembered for her humor, her creative mind, and how she loved fiercely.

Jenny is survived by her son, Brandon Tilley of Salisbury, NC and grandson Gavin; her sisters Rosie Anderson (Mike) of Midland, Gwen Mungo (Gerald) of Charlotte; her brother, Robert Tilley Jr. of Charlotte; her nephew, Michael Anderson of Charlotte; her niece, Kristy Campbell (Greg) of Oakboro; her longtime friend, Charlie Rushing of Charlotte; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Tilley Sr. and Geneva Tilley; her nephew, Benjamin Anderson; and her great nephew, Grayson Campbell.

A celebration of life will be held on December 1, 2024 from 1-3pm at the Anderson residence, 1840 Bascom Lane, Midland, NC 28107. The family asks that you wear purple in honor of Jenny.
