Born September 12th 1925 in Greensboro, Alabama. He was the son of the late Manly and Bessie Hall. He graduated from Moundville High School and was a graduate from the University of Alabama with an Engineering degree. During his early start in construction engineering, he and his wife ( Madeline Hall) lived in Spain, Saudi Arabia, New Orleans, before settling down in Puerto Rico and starting their family. They moved to Charlotte N.C in 1975 with a job with J.A Jones.
Wallace was a member of South Park Church, (formerly known as Sharon UMC), since 1976. He was a member of The Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of NC for over 70 years.
After his retirement he became heavily involved in Habitat for Humanity for many years. You could find him every Saturday and Sunday, watching College Football, Basketball and Baseball. He was a true, die hard Alabama fan! He enjoyed his mall walking and his walks around his neighborhood. He also enjoyed visiting his family and brothers back in his home state of Alabama.
He was married to his wife of 60 years, Madeline , also a member of Sharon UMC. Madeline went to be with the Lord on December, 21st, 2012. He’s preceded in death by his older brother Manly, and is survived by his younger brother Tom. He is survived by his daughter, Mary, son David, daughter- in- law Lisa, and two grandchildren, Alexia and Jake.
We would like to thank Krystal's Haven Care (especially Traci and Beverly) for their devotion and loving comfort they gave him each day. And to Via Hospice.
