Dad was a loving father and granddad, a successful eye surgeon, a brave medic who served in Vietnam, an author, a marvelous gardener, and wonderful person to talk with. He was filled with wit and wisdom.
Eight years ago, a devastating heart attack and subsequent stroke robbed Dad of so many things... We rejoice knowing that he is himself again, healed and whole.
He said that there will be no need for eye surgeons in heaven.

He is survived by his spouse, Libby; his former spouse and mother of his children, Ruth; his children, Walter, James, Anne, & William; and grandchildren Hannah & Joshua.
