William Ned Cherry, age 84, of Floral City, Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 4, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. William was born on May 23, 1930 in Lincolnton, NC to the late John H. and Elsie (Mulls) Cherry. He was employed as a subcontractor in the aluminum business. William enjoyed participating and competing in the Senior Cycle Races. He loved the Lord and praised Him as an evangelist.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Mike Cherry, Sr.; daughters, Rebeca Cherry and Teresa C. Helton; 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosie Lee (Bradshaw) Cherry, a son, Ned D. Cherry and two grandchildren.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00pm Friday, May 8, 2015 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West with Pastor Gene Boatwright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
