William Currie Davis

William C. Davis, age 101, passed away on October 20, 2026. He was born June 27, 1925 in Salisbury, NC. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Anna Lois Pangle Davis; parents, Lee Jefferson and Eunice May Davis; and sister, Eunice "Dink" Davis Boger.

Mr. Davis served his country during WW II by enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, he attended Mars Hill College and Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He started his working career in insurance, first based in Kingsport, TN and moved to Charlotte in 1953. Stayed in the insurance business for approximately 40 years.

Mr. Davis was a member of the Dr. Frank Young Sunday School class of the First Baptist Church in Charlotte. In life, Uncle Bill enjoyed listening to classical music, watching the Lawrence Welk show and visiting with relatives, friends and neighbors.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of William C. Davis is planned for Friday, October 30, 2026 at 2 pm at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte, NC with the Reverend Michael Cummings officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
