Born in 1932, Tony grew up in western Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably during the Korean War. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant, served in leadership roles, and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat.
Following his military service, Tony earned a degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh and went on to a distinguished career in commercial real estate. Over several decades, he held senior leadership positions and was widely respected for his integrity, sound judgment, and mentorship.
Tony was married for more than forty years to his first wife, Nancy. Together they raised three children and shared a life centered on family, faith, careers, and travel. After her passing, he remarried twice, finding companionship and love again, first with Marilyn and, most recently, with his wife, Linda Mizell, with whom he shared his last 16 years.
A man of faith, Tony was active in church life. He also enjoyed sailing, golf, music, history, and travel and was known for his thoughtful conversations and dry wit. Even in his nineties, Tony prioritized calls and visits with friends, colleagues, and family.
Tony is survived by his wife, Linda Mizell; his brother, Dennis (Suzanne) Dunn; his children, Kathy Dunn Henkel, Steven Dunn (Tracy), and Martha Adamski (Bruce); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who were shaped by his character and kindness.
A celebration of life and separate interment will be held at later dates. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages honoring Tony’s memory through acts of service, mentorship, and care for others—values he lived by every day.
