William “Tommy” Hinson, 88, was born January 4, 1938, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and died June 9, 2026. Tommy will be remembered with deep affection for the steady love he gave so freely, the care he showed in quiet, everyday ways, and the warm humor that could lighten a room.
Tommy retired from Continental General Tire, closing a long working chapter with the same reliability and consideration that shaped so much of his life.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Libby Hinson Cook (Tim), and his grandson, Luke Cook. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Caulder Hinson; his second wife, Arline Hinson; his father, Claude Hinson; and his mother, Gertrude Hill Hinson.
A Mausoleum Service will be held at 1:00 pm on June 12, 2026, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, North Carolina. Tommy’s final resting place will be at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill.
