After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Kelemen began his medical career at the Cleveland Clinic working under the renowned Dutch physician, Dr. Willem Kolff, on the development of the first artificial kidney. This pioneering research in combination with his passion for medicine has benefited the lives of countless individuals.
Dr. Kelemen is survived by his three sons and one daughter. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than fifty years, Betty J. Kelemen, who passed away May 25, 2009.
He was greatly loved and admired and will be truly missed by his family and friends.
