Born on January 30, 1988, Will leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a passion for life. He was known for his infectious laughter, his love for music, and his unwavering loyalty to his friends. Will had a heart of gold and touched the lives of all who knew him.
He was born in California to Nancy Blankenship and William Muetze Jr. He later moved to Fort Mill, South Carolina with his two siblings, Amber and Travis, his father, and stepmother (Linda); where he fell in love with fishing, camping, and offroading right alongside his father and siblings.
He worked with his father and stepmother at Compact Power after high school before he joined the National Guard. Will was a proud veteran who honorably fought for his country in Afghanistan next to his brother Travis. Will was big into family and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He also had a huge love for his dogs, Cassius, Kimbo, Abby, Charlie and the many more puppies that Cassius and Abby birthed.
After Afghanistan, Will worked many days and nights at his father’s fabrication shop in Monroe, NC, creating custom offroading parts for Land Rovers. He was one of his father’s biggest supporters and caretakers (along with Linda) when Bill was diagnosed and in the hospital for cancer, then COPD and stayed by his side along with Linda and Amber til the end.
Will had a huge heart and was just like his father. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved and cherished by many.
Will is survived by his mothers, Nancy Blankenship of California and Linda Muetze of South Carolina and his two siblings, Travis Muetze of Fort Mill, SC and Amber Muetze and Paul Gardner (brother-in-law) of King, NC and John, Doug, and Kayla Woodall of California. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Sam, Georgia, Wesson, and Riley of King, NC; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by this father, William Leroy Muetze Jr. and his aunt, Allie Olsen.
