

He was born May 5, 1917 in Monroe, NC to Jessie and Pearl Griffin Trull. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII stationed in both France and Germany. He achieved the rank of Master Sargent. He enjoyed beekeeping, gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Cole Memorial UMC for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy “Dot” Trull; his son, William “Bill” Trull and wife Linda of St. John’s, FL; his daughter, Donna Pennell of Charlotte, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Henry Trull; one sister, Mollie Godfrey; two half-brothers and two half-sisters.
The celebration of his life will take place Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Cole Memorial UMC 2022 West Sugar Creek Road Charlotte, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
