Yvonne Little, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, January 7, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with Lymphoma.

Yvonne was born August 6,1939 in Wilson, NC to Lloyd A. Peele and Zelpha Faucette Peele. She received most of her early education in the Carolinas and her College degree in Nursing at Sacramento State College in California. She was employed by Presbyterian (Novant) Hospital for a number of years in Coronary Intensive Care.

Yvonne was a member of Calvary Church and a teacher for Stonecroft ministries and for years held a weekly Bible study in her home. She had a servant’s heart and participated in many charitable and civic organizations during her lifetime.

While living in California she received her private pilots license for small planes and became a member of the Ninety-Nines, an international organization for women pilots.

She is survived by husband, Dr. Don Little; daughter, Debbie Henion; and grandchildren, Jason Miller and David Miller; as well as sisters, Margaret Brumbles and Marie Garner.

She was proceeded in death by Wallace Peele (brother); Mitchell Williamson (son); and Tarrence Robertson (husband).

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the sanctuary of Calvary Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 PM in the Rea Room at Calvary Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
