

Adam Clark Wyant, 90 years old, passed away at home on April 25, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1924 in White Hall, Virginia to Adam K. and Irene C. Wyant. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Joe, and Billy, and a great-granddaughter Taylor Wyant. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Lamb Wyant of Charlottesville; his son David Wyant and his wife Gail; his son Larry Wyant and his wife Lorrain; and his daughter Kimberly Perkins, all of White Hall. He is also survived by a brother, Ed Wyant, eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. He worked for many years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was an active and dedicated member of Ivy Creek United Methodist Church. He participated in many volunteer activities including Habitat for Humanity, soup kitchen, multiple mission trips, and too many others to mention. He enjoyed baseball and was a loyal Atlanta Braves and UVA baseball fan. Above all else, he was an amazing, supportive, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Though your smile is gone forever, and your hand I cannot touch, I still have many memories of the one I loved so much. Your memory is my keepsake, with which I’ll never part. God has you in his keeping; I have you in my heart. Sadly missed, but never forgotten. A funeral service will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Mount Moriah United Methodist Church in White Hall. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville and also one hour prior to the funeral service.
