Alice Faye Brown

Faye was born June 13, 1940 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Faye is survived by her three children, Al Hensley and wife (Kim), Anita Greene and husband (Michael), Vicki Hale and husband (Kenny), her sisters Betty Farish, Ida Carver, and Ellen Riner, her grandchildren Toby Hensley, Michael Baber, John Hensley, and Sarah Hale, and her great-grandchildren Aubrie, Tyler, Tanner, Bailie, Thomas, and Anthony.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Pearl Collins, husband Robert (Bobby) Brown, father of her children Alvin (Bootsie) Hensley, brother Kenneth Collins, Sisters Louise Burton, Ruby Gunter and grandson Tony Hensley.

Faye worked as a circuit board welder for 35 years at Cableform. She was a star recorder for the Women of the Moose 731. Faye was a member of Cherry Avenue Christian Church and served with the East Rivanna Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation will be held at Cherry Avenue Christian Church at 10 AM on April, 17 2026, and the service will be officiated by Roscoe Faris at 11 AM. A graveside at Monticello Memory Gardens will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Blessings Flow and Trinity Hospice.
