Alice Arnold Sawyer

Alice May Arnold Sawyer, 66, of Louisa, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at her home. Born October 23, 1947 in Hyattsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Lee and Charlotta Marie Kelleher Arnold. She is survived by her brother, Richard Bukovac of Louisa; a daughter, Cyndi Sawyer Shreve and her husband Dennis of Louisa; two sons, Joshua “Joey” Sawyer of Chesapeake, VA and Paul McClure of Louisa; two grandchildren, Dusty Kirby and his wife Heather of Scottsville and Kendra Lea Powell and her husband Paul of Charlottesville; a great grandson, Kaleb Zane Kirby of Charlottesville; and aunts Celestine Dowdell of California and Julia Davis of Manassas, VA and countless cousins and many, many friends that she has met thru the years. Other survivors include Virginia “Jenny” Sawyer, whom she considered her mom; J.R. and Sharane Sawyer, whom remained good friends throughout the years; special friends at Epworth, Hattie and Margarite. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Prichard, Katie, Jonathan, Natalie, Danny, Jessica and Medi Home Health and Hospice. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Teague Funeral Home.
