Anna Bell Mills, 102 of Charlottesville, VA passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Harrisonburg, VA. Born January 3, 1917 in Beckley, WVA, she was the youngest daughter of the late Stephen Joshua and Arminta D. Lilly Bell. Anna retired from Reynolds Printing, Charlottesville, VA as a linotype operator. Anna was a devoted member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church since 1962. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Howard R. Mills, Sr.; two sons, William Richard (Dickie) Mills and Charles Obie (Charlie) Mills; three grandsons, Howard R. (Howdy) Mills III, Steven Edward (Stevie) Mills, and Michael Alan Mills; four sisters, Clara Bell Peters, Edna Bell Russell, Wanda E. McQuade, and Loula Bell Price; four brothers, Joseph Bell, Lewis Bell, Robert A. Bell, and Riley Sherman Bell. She is survived by her loving son, Howard R. Mills, Jr. (Amanda) of North Garden, VA; a daughter-in-law, Neda Mills of Holly Springs, NC; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville.
