Mrs. Barbara M Hensley

Barbara Marrs Hensley, age 84 of Charlotteville Va, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday April 24 2019. Barbara was born January 8, 1935. Barbara was the daughter of the late James E & Flossie Marsh Marrs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elwood R. Hensley one brother Jack Marrs, four sisters Evelyn L. Stratten, Eunice I. McDaniel, Juanita (Dickie) Wood, Rose M. Ray, and one grandson, Christopher Hensley. Barbara is survived by her two children, son Michael R. Hensley and his wife Wanda, daughter Jammie Johansen and her husband Dennis all of Greene County, granddaughter Rebecca Hensley, grandsons Fredrick Lanzon and his significant other Christina Marshall, Steven Lanzon his wife Heather, Scotty Lanzon and his significant other Krystal Collins . Numerous loving great-grandchildren, Chole Lanzon, Douglas Lanzon, Phoebe Lanzon and Brentley Collins. She leave behind a devoted sister-in-law, Faye Marrs of Charlottesville, VA. Devoted nephews, Jimmy McDaniel, Gilbert Statton, Donnie Hensley, Will and Ryan Morris, devote nieces Lorene Perry, Vickie Ray, Trina Morris, and Patricia Morris. Numerous other loving nieces’ nephews. Barbara always had a way to lift your spirits. She was a sweet mother, grandmother aunt & friend to many people. She cared about everyone. She dearly loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be truly missed. She is now with her heavenly family she missed so much. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 12pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Mr. Randy Hunt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville. Pallbearers for the service will be Freddy Lanzon, Steven Lanzon, Scotty Lanzon, Fred Patrick, David Marrs, Ivoe Marrs.
