
Betty Rogers Browning Robson, of Harrisonburg, VA went home to be with the Lord on June 13th at the Sunnyside Retirement Community where she lived for the past two years. Betty was born on April 21, 1941 to William Lee and Lucy Armstrong Browning in Washington, DC. She grew up with her brother, Bill, on the family farm, Meadowdean, in Rixeyville and graduated from Culpeper County High School in 1959. She married Charles H. Robson, Jr. Betty held various clerical positions at the 2nd National Bank, Northern Virginia Community College and the John Hill insurance agency. Her warm personality and quick smile were a joy to all who knew her. Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Robson Estes of Charlottesville, her granddaughter Macaela L. West of Richmond, her grandson Phillip M. Estes III of Charlottesville, her brother and many loving cousins and loyal friends. She was predeceased by her parents, son, Charles Harmon Robson III and her ex-husband. The family is planning a celebration of Betty’s life to be held at the Jeffersonton Baptist Church, Jeffersonton, Va on Saturday June 25th at 11:00. Burial will be in the family plot at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Sunnyside Fellowship Fund for a garden in Betty’s memory.
