Betty Gibson Yowell

Betty G. Yowell, 77, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022. She was born on April 24, 1945 in Baltimore, MD and resided in Boonesville, VA.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Carlton Clinton Yowell, her father Junior Bee Gibson, her mother Hallie Morris Gibson, and her sister Judith Ann Maupin.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Faith Gibson, her three children James Clinton Yowell and his wife, Kathy and children Sierra Huffman and Savannah Yowell; Stephanie Yowell Sipe her husband, Gary and children Ashley Sipe and Victoria Sipe; Patrick Scott Yowell and his children Patrick Scott Yowell II and Jordan Yowell. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild Patrick Scott Yowell III. Betty is also survived by a large extended family and many friends that will miss her greatly.
Betty proudly worked at Northrop Grumman for 33 years and considered her coworkers as family. She was a dedicated member of Nortonsville Church of God. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, cooking, watching Hallmark, and she enjoyed helping others.
A family night will be held at Teague Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Nortonsville Church of God on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm followed by a graveside service at Gentry’s Church and returning for a reception at Nortonsville Church of God.
