FEBRUARY 28, 1948 - SEPTEMBER 2, 2026
Beverly Krause, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, surrounded by her husband, three children, daughter-in-law, sister, and nephew; with her son-in-law and two granddaughters rushing to her side.
Beverly was the kindest, gentlest, and most beautiful soul. She leaves behind the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Frederick Krause, with whom she shared a marriage built on laughter, devotion, and immeasurable love. They were inseparable and, throughout their life together, continually showed those around them what a beautiful marriage could be.
Of all the roles Beverly held in her life, being a mother is the one she cherished most. She loved her three children, Kevin Krause, Rebecca Bronkema, and David Krause, deeply and raised them with strong morals, kindness, patience, and a gentle touch of soft sternness. She rarely raised her voice, instead offering comfort and reassurance during difficult moments.
Beverly was also the most loving and nurturing grandmother, lovingly known as Bebe to her five grandchildren, Callie Bronkema, Sienna Bronkema, Mason Krause, Sophia Krause, and Gabriella Krause. She treasured every moment she spent with them and never missed an opportunity to shower them with hugs, kisses, and snuggles. “Bebe snuggles” were the most anticipated part of visits with her grandchildren. When she couldn’t visit with her grandchildren in person, she would get in as many FaceTime calls as she possibly could.
Beverly’s love for her family was deeply rooted in her upbringing as the second youngest of 11 brothers and sisters. She often spoke about her Mama and Daddy with such love and admiration. Beverly took every opportunity to tell her children stories about her childhood in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, and the many adventures she shared with her siblings, especially her sister Callie, known affectionately as Aunt Juju. Beverly is survived by four of her beloved older sisters: Callie (Aunt Juju), Geraldine, Louise, and Frances.
Beverly had a true gift for caring for others. Throughout her years working in senior care, she brought her kindness and compassion to countless people during some of their most vulnerable life moments. She had a remarkable ability to bring comfort and tenderness to difficult moments, making those in her care feel seen, valued, and loved.
Beverly’s greatest legacy will not be found in titles or accomplishments, but in the love she gave so freely. She made people feel safe, cared for, understood, and loved. Though her absence leaves an unimaginable emptiness, the love Beverly gave throughout her life will continue through the family she cherished so deeply and through every person whose life she touched.
