He was born in Chicago, IL, and was the adopted son of Will Smith Arburn and Dorothy Rother Arburn both deceased.
Brett lived at Innisfree Village, Crozet, VA for 45 years. Despite his disabilities, he was able to become an outstanding weaver, and also enjoyed wood working, and gardening. He also played guitar and enjoyed the music of the group the Monkees. He loved Innisfree and his life and friends there.
He leaves behind a sister, Dr. Beth Arburn Davis and her husband; Gerald Nelson Davis of York, PA as well as a nephew; Justin Arburn Davis also of York, PA; and a great nephew; Hunter Augustus Arburn Davis, of Lancaster, PA; and many cousins.
