Carol was born on June 26, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Richard George and Mildred Klein Jansen and sister to Richard and Margaret (Margie). She received her Bachelors in Education from Mount St Joseph University. In 1967 she married John J Frazer and they had two children, Scott and Barbara. In addition to raising two children she taught pre-school and kindergarten. Later in life she went back to school and became a programmer working at UVA Health Services Foundation where she made many life long friends. She enjoyed spending lots of time with her family and grandchildren, going for daily walks, bowling, cooking, reading, traveling, crafting and had a deep love for music. We will always remember the twinkle in her eye when she laughed, which was often.
Carol was a beloved friend to many and the adopted mother to her children’s friends as well as anyone who needed her. On several occasions she opened her home to friends in need, often for months or years at a time. It didn't matter how big or small the need was, Carol loved to be generous and welcoming. Everyone who met Carol, liked her.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother Richard.
Carol is survived by her sister Margie, her children Scott and Barbara, and her grandchildren Michael, Brianna, Lauren and Caroline. In addition to her immediate family, Carol is survived by he Sister-in-law Carol, niece Patricia, nephews Richard, Corrie, and Brian.
The family invites friends to gather and celebrate Carol’s life on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 4-6pm, at Teague Funeral Service in Charlottesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont or the Heritage Inn Memory Care Center. We would like to express our extreme gratitude to both organizations for their care and concern for Carol during her last years.
