I met Kitty when I was 5 at a children’s party in Staunton.  We became lifelong close friends beginning in our teen years in Staunton and corresponded in  letters right up until her death. As it is said, she is very sorely missed. She was what is called a classic liberal, and I am a rock ribbed  conservative.  We had many discussions by phone and by mail. I looked for letters from her often by habit after her passing. She was a blessing to me and I loved her.  Perry Archer
