Charlie, as he was known, retired as a Gunnery Sergeant after 20 years, 4 months and 8 days in the US Marine Corps followed by a long career in network engineering. He loved to travel and experience things the “way the locals live.” When not traveling and hunting little treasures (Geocaching), you would often find him in his wood shop or camping with the scouts.
He treated strangers like friends, friends like family, and family he treated like dogs. He really loved dogs!
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary. He is survived by his beloved Jamie, his brother William, his children: Mary, Charles and his wife Katie, and his four grandchildren: Charles, Margaret, Russell, and Dennis.
Please join us in person or in spirit as we celebrate his on August 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at Teague Funeral Service 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
