

Christine Melvina Brown, 92, of Charlottesville passed away on October 26, 2015. She was born on September 12, 1923 to the late Thomas Edward and Lucy White Page, and she was the beloved wife of the late William Edward Brown, Sr. Christine was a devoted member of Colonial Baptist Church in Keswick for over 40 years, often volunteering with her friend Betty to work on the books for the missionaries. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend, and she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, Christine is preceded in death by her brother William Page; her sister Mildred Goff, four sons: William E. Brown, Jr., John Calvin Brown, James Franklin Brown, and Irvin Brown; and her great granddaughter Katrina. Christine is survived by her sons: Thomas E. Brown and Charles P. Brown; her brother, Charley I. Page; and two daughters in-law Ouida and Annette; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Her special friend Roger Brown and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends are left to cherish her memory. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM, Friday, October 30, 2015 at Colonial Baptist Church in Keswick, with Pastor Ed Leake officiating. A burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
