Colin attended the Hill School in PA, and then on to the University of Virginia, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. Colin was a standout athlete while at the Hill- particularly in baseball, where he once threw no hitter. He also pitched for UVA, before military service interrupted college. Colin spent his professional years doing something he never considered a ‘job’ and that was broadcasting. He loved doing what he did. He spent the bulk of his career at WINA/WQMZ as the GM. He spent many years as the Voice of the Cavaliers sports teams calling football and basketball games on the radio. He also had a well received Big Band show he hosted that was syndicated around VA. Post retirement he enjoyed spending time with his grand kids, family and especially the love of his life, Danine. With whom he is now reunited.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to all of the many people who cared for dad during his transition. Suncrest Hospice, Watercrest senior living facility, Stephanie, Kyle, Jayla, Sheena, Rayka, Tamara, Wycliff, Martin, Jordan, Asia, and Jennifer along with many others for all the compassion, care and concern you gave and showed mean more than words can convey- thank you!
