Colton Delaine Garr of Waynesboro, age 5 months, became an angel on Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Charlottesville. Born on December 23, 2014 at 3 pounds and 12 ounces, Colton was a son of Chelsea Shaver and Curtis Garr. Colton and his twin sister, Chloe were born at the University of Virginia Medical Center, nine weeks earlier than anyone expected. Colton and his sister were the perfect Christmas gifts! Colton was always smiling and happy. He was just starting to learn to grab his mother’s hand. Like a typical brother Colton didn’t like his sister getting more attention. When he would cry, Chloe would laugh and when Chloe would cry he would laugh. Colton is finally being rocked in his grandmother Dawn M. Shaver’s loving arms in heaven. In addition to his parents and twin sister Colton is survived by his older brother Caedan; his nanny and poppy, Amy Haley and her husband Mitchell; his poppop, Frank Shaver; his pawpaw, Bo Garr; his aunts, Erica and Tabby; and his uncles, J.C., Lekota, Dillyn, and Bryce. Colton is also survived by numerous other family members that loved him deeply. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00pm Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the chapel of Teague Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made in Colton’s name to an established GoFundMe account at www.gofundme.com/wsp8ys.
