Darlene Loise Samsell

Darlene Loise Samsell, age 86, of Leesburg, FL passed away July 30, 2015 at Cornerstone Hospice House in Tavares, FL. Born December 13, 1928 in Hartford, MI she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Clarissa Smith Phillips. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Samsell and her sisters, Pat Slesdet and Nancy Miller. Darlene is survived by her loving husband, James Earl Samsell, Sr. of FL; her daughters, Patti Jobst of Tampa, FL and Sharon Beasley and her husband Joseph Greenberg of Charlottesville; her sons, James Earl Samsell, Jr. and his wife Rosa of Seattle, WA and Darryl Samsell and his wife Valerie of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren, Christopher and Robert Beasley, Mary Samsell, and Brian, Alexandra, and Ariel Samsell; great-grandchildren, Claire and Elise Beasley, William Vayvada, and Caleb and Ari Samsell. A funeral service will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Grace Episcopal Church, 5607 Gordonsville Rd., Keswick, VA with The Reverend Carol Sims officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Teague Funeral Home. The family wishes to honor Darlene’s preference and requests that no flowers be sent.
