Ms. Deanna, as we called her, was a warm, welcoming person, who laughed often and heartily. She was my best friend's mom and a big reason for spending so much time at their house. Deanna toast (butter, peanut butter, sugar, & cinnamon) was a breakfast staple that I enjoyed many mornings before the walk to school. Memories of her and the Barker home will live with me forever.

I loved my big sister. She was a dear soul.

My condolences to Glynn, Susan, Melissa and Tobin.
