Diane Marie Griffith Franklin, age 75, passed away on April 26, 2016 in Charlottesville, Va. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Ralph Griffith Sr. and Marie Shade Griffith. She was preceded in death by her siblings Henry Bildstein, Ralph Griffith Jr. and Gary Griffith. She is survived by her siblings Peggy Bildstein Lee and her husband Lloyd, Conrad Bildstein, and Galen Griffith and his wife Kathleen. Her memory will be cherished by her children and grandchildren: Alvin Franklin Jr. and his wife Sonia Gill Franklin; Jacqueline Franklin Carney and her husband George Belbey as well as her children Caitlyn Carney Mayers and Madison Carney; and Christopher Franklin and his wife Maria Davis Franklin as well as his children Trevor Franklin and Kelsey Franklin. Diane served her country with her career as an analyst for the National Security Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency. Services will be private. Donations may be made in her honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or any breast cancer organization.
