He was born May 30, 1942 to the late Donald Riggin, Sr. and Martha L. (Tray) Riggin. Donald was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University in 1964 and did his graduate work at Stanford University.
He proudly served in the United States Navy for over 20 years as a Civil Engineer. Upon retiring from the Navy he finished his career at the University of Virginia as a contract administrator and retired in 2007.
Don leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Mary V. Riggin and their sons, Christopher and Scott Riggin; his brother, Douglas Riggin and sister in law Suzanne Riggin.
