Doris Ann Wilson

Doris Ann Wilson, 78, of Earlysville, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her home. Born March 12, 1938 in Alexandria, VA, she was the daughter of the late Randolph and Ruth Mooney. Doris retired from the Defense Intelligence Agency. She is survived by her husband, Gary Wilson; son, Rick Wilson and his wife Liz Fairchild; daughter, Cheryl Via-Duncan and her husband Jeff Duncan; stepdaughter, Carma Lynn Russo; six grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Matt Wilson, Amber Daniels, Derek Duncan, Tyler Duncan and Dylan Duncan; and her beloved dog, Champ. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Teague Chapel with Pastor Buster Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Earlysville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Teague Funeral Home. The family would like to give special thanks to Alicia Anderson, CNA, Erica Allen, nurse, and hospice volunteers Betsy Collins and Sara Trundle. In addition, a very special thank you to her sister-in-law Lovetta Stephenson for placing her life on hold for the past year to provide compassionate care for Doris during her illness.
